What do you mean?
I asked her again confused. "What do you mean?"
"You're lucky you don't have a partner who wouldn't mind if you weren't on your phone," she repeated.
I shrugged my head, raised my shoulders high, and opened my palms in equal exaggeration perfect for someone to drop a fish in them.
"A partner?"
I began confusing her, my former partner. "Yeah, you can be off your phone all the time and not worry if a partner gets worried," she finally clarified, a bit puzzled as to why I couldn't manage to put two-and-two together.
